President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has arrived in Ireland on a working visit, as the country takes over the presidency of the Council of the European Union.

The head of state announced this on Telegram, according to Censor.NET.

It is known that Zelenskyy will take part in the opening ceremony of the presidency.

"I will also meet with Prime Minister Micheál Martin and European Council President António Costa.

Ukraine proves every day that it deserves to be an equal part of our shared European home. And we hope that during Ireland’s presidency of the Council of the EU, we will manage to make tangible progress towards membership and open all the negotiation clusters," he added.
