Satellite images of an Ozon marketplace distribution centre near Makhachkala burning after a drone attack have been published online.
The images were published by Radio Free Europe’s Russian Service, Censor.NET reports.
What the facility looks like after drone attack
The images show that a significant part of the facility, which covers more than 130,000 square metres, has already burned down. It is one of the marketplace’s largest warehouses and was built last year.
Russian media reported that amid the fire, Ozon shares fell by 28% on the Moscow Exchange on Monday morning.
The value of shares in AFK Sistema, which owns more than 31% of the marketplace, also declined.
Background
It was previously reported that on the night of August 24, drones attacked logistics centres belonging to the Russian marketplace Ozon in the Stavropol region, Adygea and Dagestan. Fires broke out at the facilities.
