During the discussion of a draft resolution, deputy Kharchenko proposed to send the readout of the meeting to the Prosecutor General's Office, claiming alleged threats made against him by Yurii Levchenko, an independent Verkhovna Rada MP and Svoboda party member.
Shortly after, Kharchenko was attacked by several Svoboda deputies.
Kyiv mayor Vitalii Klitschko stepped in and began to separate the conflicting parties.
City council secretary Volodymyr Prokopiv adjourned the meeting for 10 minutes and stopped the broadcast.
