Odesa architecture landmark caught fire on weekend. PHOTOS+VIDEO

The building is a 19th century Russov's house at Sadova Street in Odesa. The house caught fire on Sept. 30.

The building got covered in thick smoke, Censor.NET reports citing Dumskaia.

Eight fire fighting vehicles participated in the extinguishing operation.

Preliminary version says the fire started in a room inhabited by homeless people. At 7:28 p.m. it had been put out. No casualties were reported.
