The monument to Heavenly Hundred heroes and volunteer fighters who defended territorial integrity of Ukraine in 2014 has been unveiled at Karachun mountain in Sloviansk vicinity, the Donetsk region.
Censor.NET reports citing Vostochnyi Proekt.During the opening ceremony, law enforcers who participated in Sloviansk liberation in 2014 were awarded with volunteer medals. 65 military were decorated posthumously.
Civilians who were killed for their loyalty to Ukraine were also decorated with "For liberation of Sloviansk" medal. Volunteers and activists who helped the city prior and after the fighting were also awarded.
Chaplain of the 81st Separate Air Mobile Brigade, priest Vasyl held a consecration service and liturgy prayer for killed fighters and civilians.
