Zelenskyi called on European Parliament to adopt resolution on creation of special tribunal on Russia’s crimes in Ukraine
Ukraine calls on the European Parliament to adopt a separate resolution on creating a special tribunal on the crime of Russian aggression against Ukraine.
This is stated in the address of President Volodymyr Zelenskyi, delivered during an online speech in the European Parliament at the Andriy Sakharov award ceremony, Censor.NET reports.
"I am grateful to everyone who investigates and helps investigate the crimes of the occupiers in Ukraine, who are looking for information about Russian murderers and terrorists. I am grateful to the International Criminal Court, which works closely with Ukrainian prosecutors and has a clear intention to bring justice to what the occupiers have committed on the territory of our country." , - noted Zelenskyi.
The head of state expressed his gratitude to all countries, politicians, and international organizations that work together with Ukraine and make every possible effort to create a tribunal for the Russian Federation.
"I call on all of you, your parties, and states to support this work. The tribunal must work. The European Parliament has already supported this idea, it must be made a reality as soon as possible, in particular through the adoption of a different resolution of the European Parliament in support of the creation of the tribunal, through your support and your country's support for the corresponding resolution of the UN General Assembly," Zelenskyi urged.
He also asks the European Parliament to support the recognition of the Holodomor as genocide of the Ukrainian people.
