The energy sector will become one of the parts of the 10th package of sanctions against Russia for its aggression in Ukraine.
This was announced by the Chairman of the European Council, Charles Michel, Censor.NET reports with reference to Interfax-Ukraine.
"I can confirm that we have started consultations on a possible 10th package of sanctions. We have decided to specifically direct these sanctions to the energy sector," he explained.
Also, according to him, it is necessary to see in which sectors it is possible to introduce sanctions against the Russian Federation.
In addition, Michel noted, it is important to direct these sanctions against Russian propagandists, and not only to maintain pressure on the Kremlin, but also to increase it.
According to the President of the European Council, another task is to attract more states to further isolate Russia and those states that support it.
