Norway allocates another 190 million dollars for reconstruction of Ukraine

Norway made a grant contribution of 190 million dollars to the Trust Fund for Support, Reconstruction, Reconstruction and Reform of Ukraine.

"The Government of Norway has made a grant contribution to the World Bank's Ukraine Support, Recovery, Reconstruction and Reform Trust Fund (URTF) in the amount of NOK 2 billion (USD 190 million) to support the capacity of the Government of Ukraine to provide services, including investments in the repair of destroyed infrastructure ", the message says.
It is noted that this is the second tranche provided by Norway to the URTF, following a grant contribution of USD 100 million, for which an agreement was signed in December 2022.
"Ukraine is in urgent need of funding. The current assistance will support the maintenance of critical infrastructure and the day-to-day provision of essential public services. Our assistance through the World Bank is also a contribution to the process of reforms needed to promote economic growth, as well as post-war reconstruction and European integration. This contribution is part of Norway's five-year support package for Ukraine, it is a sign of our long-term support for Ukraine," said the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Norway, Anniken Huytfeldt.
