Poll: Majority of Americans support military aid to Ukraine
65% of Americans support military assistance to Ukraine, although a similar poll in May showed much less support.

A joint Reuters/Ipsos poll conducted on June 26-27 showed that 65% of respondents approved of the supply of US arms to Ukraine, up from 46% in May. U.S. voters believe that such assistance demonstrates to China and other U.S. rivals the intention to protect the interests of the United States and its allies.
Among the respondents, 67% would be "very likely" to support a presidential candidate who would continue military assistance to Ukraine, and 73% would support a candidate who would support active U.S. participation in NATO.
The results of the survey were divided by respondents' party affiliation as follows:
- 81% of Democratic Party supporters support military assistance to Ukraine
- among supporters of the Republican Party - 56%
- among "unbiased" voters - 57%.
Reuters notes that the poll results "provide stronger support" for President Joe Biden's administration's policy of firmly supporting Ukraine. According to former U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine William Taylor, "it certainly reinforces Biden's decision to go all-in" and "emboldens" the Republican leadership in the lower and upper houses of Congress.
