Kalibr missiles, often launched by the enemy from submarines, are difficult to shoot down because they can fly low.

This was reported by the spokesman of the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Yuriy Ihnat, Censor.NET informs with reference to ZN.ua.

According to him, the submarine strikes unexpectedly because it is not known where it is.

"Accordingly, there is little time to react if he is close to the potential location of the target," Ihnat emphasized.

He also informed that Kalibr missiles can also fly low - this makes it difficult to detect them by radar means and shoot them down.

The spokesman also said that Kh-22 missiles can be shot down only by ballistic means. He also added that it is almost impossible to shoot down Russian Onyx missiles by any air defense means because they fly very low - 10-15 meters above the water level.
