Ukraine will not be left without financial support, EU will find solution, - Prime Minister of Estonia Kallas

каллас,кая

The European Union will find a solution that will allow continuing financial support for Ukraine.

This was stated by the Prime Minister of Estonia, Kaya Kallas, Censor.NET reports with reference to Interfax-Ukraine.

"I can assure you that Ukraine will not be left without financial support - there is a strong will of the twenty-six to provide this support, and there are various ways we can do it. We will probably have another meeting, most likely in January, to reach an agreement on this matter. But there is a strong desire to do it, to help Ukraine as soon as possible," she said.

Earlier, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban vetoed the revision of the EU budget, which provided for the allocation of 50 billion euros for Ukraine until 2027.

"Last night we did not conclude, but there was a clear victory for the accession negotiations. There was no point for Hungary ... (to give an excuse) for another good news. Orbán does not want to participate in this.
"It's out of the budget and you can do whatever you want, but I don't want to be a part of it," is his explanation. But we have tools that are easier to use than to create new ones. Democracy needs time, but Ukraine does not have time. We have the political will, and we will find a solution," Kallas explained.

Asked if the EU had a problem with Orbán, Kallas said: "I have said many times: as long as he says the wrong thing but does the right thing - we are OK, and so far we have been united and able to decide on the accession negotiations. For a history book, it was interesting how it was done, but I'm not going to talk about that today. But we're all democracies, we all have different concerns, so we listen to each other and try to find solutions."
