In 2024, Russia received 24 combat aircraft. This means a decline or at best stagnation in Russian aviation production.
This is reported by Defence24, Censor.NET reports.
The Russian Aerospace Forces received probably the last batch of combat aircraft of the year. It includes Su-34 bombers and Su-57 fighters.
According to Defence 24, the Russians probably received only one frontline bombardment aircraft and one fifth-generation fighter.
This means that in 2024, Russia received 24 combat aircraft:
- 10 Su-34M front-line bombardment aircraft (10 produced in 2022, 6 in 2023)
- 6 Su-35S fighters (7 produced in 2022, 10 in 2023);
- 6 Su-57 fighters (8 produced in 2022, 11 in 2023);
- 2 Su-30 multipurpose aircraft (4 produced in 2022, 4 in 2023).
"This means a decline or at best stagnation in the production of Russian combat aircraft. We estimate that Russia will receive about 27 aircraft in 2022 and about 24 in 2023. According to other analysts, who accept more optimistic data on the rate of production of the Su-57, the Russians received only 30 aircraft in 2022 and 32 in 2023," the publication notes.
