Bruised Face and Concussion: Udar Deputy Severely Beaten Near Kyiv

On the evening of January 10, Volodymyr Kurennoi was attacked in the parking lot of MegaMarket grocery store in Kyiv-Sviatoshynskyy district of Kyiv oblast.

This was reported by the press service of the Udar political party, reports Censor.NET.

The attack occurred at 19 hours 55 minutes. An hour later investigative team of Kyiv oblast police under the leadership of Chief of the Office of the oblast police and district prosecutor Valerii Mazan and Vasyl Fedorenko arrived at the scene . The police officers opened a criminal investigation regarding the events.

According to Vladimir Kurennoi, he walked out of the store, put the food in the car and got behind the wheel of his car. Suddenly two men appeared next to him. They hit the deputy in the face, then threw him out of the car and began kicking. One of them ran to the open car but the assailants were scared away by a man who was walking to his car and heard the cries for help.

The deputy has a bruised face, hematomas on his head and a concussion.

What happened with Volodymyr Kurrenoi can be seen on the surveillance cameras in the parking lot of MegaMarket. The video also shows that a car was waiting for the attackers which they used to leave the scene.

The deputy was taken for treatment to Obukhiv city hospital.
