Russian Terrorists Downed Su-25 Fighter Jet, Pilot’s Fate Is Unknown
Su-25 fighter jet involved in anti-terrorist operation was shot down in the Luhansk region today, August 20.
"Su-25 was hit accomplishing a combat mission today. It fell on the ground. The fate of the pilot is still unknown but there is hope that he'll be fine," speaker of the Information Analysis Center of the National Security and Defense Council Andrii Lysenko said on air of the channel 112 Ukraine on Wednesday night, Censor.NET reports.
MiG-29 fighter jet of the anti-terrorist operation forces was downed a few days ago in the Luhansk region. The pilot managed to eject. He was taken to a safe place. Earlier this month, the militants shot down Ukrainian MiG-29 fighter over Yenakiieve in the Donetsk region. They also shot down Mi-8 ambulance helicopter nearly at the same time. Earlier, Censor.NET reported that the pilot of downed Ukrainian MiG-29 heroically moved about 40 kilometers through the enemy's rear and came to friendly troops.
