Terrorists Shelled "Donbas Arena" with Heavy Weapons

The attacks on Donetsk continue. The militants damaged "the pearl of the capital of the Donbas".

The militants shelled from heavy weapons "Donbas Arena" stadium, which belongs to the football club "Shakhtar", speaker of the Information Analysis Center of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Andrii Lysenko said, Censor.NET reports citing Interfax-Ukraine.

"Donbas Arena" sports center, a real architectural pearl of the capital of the Donbas, was shelled from heavy weapons," he said at a briefing in Kyiv.

Lysenko said that representatives of the illegal armed groups once again shelled the Lenin, Kyiv, Voroshilov and Kuibyshev districts of Donetsk. "As a result of the shelling the roof and walls of the Donetsk regional museum were ruined. Apartment buildings were also inflicted by the shells," he said.

According to the NSDC, the terrorists' projectile hit the house number 43 on Tolbukhin Street in Ilovaisk inflicting injuries to civilians in the building.

The National Security and Defense Council notes that the public services and public transportation are trying to work as usual despite all the attacks.
