Poland is Ready to Sell Weapons to Ukraine
Polish Minister of National Defence Tomasz Siemoniak called the information regarding agreement on the sale of Polish arms to Ukraine that was reached at the NATO summit a misunderstanding, but assured that Poland is ready to sell weapons to Ukraine, if requested.
This was stated by Siemoniak on TVN24 BiS, Censor.NET reports citing Radio Liberty. "There was no agreement in Newport on arms supplies to Ukraine, but there are no obstacles for Ukraine to buy weapons in the future," he said. The Minister noted that the Ukrainian government is free to buy weaponry, because there is no ban on its delivery, and Ukraine itself should address Poland, if it is interested in purchasing any armaments. "You need two sides to buy and sell. If Ukraine is willing, our defense industry is just ready to realize such orders," the Minister said.

Siemoniak noted that the Ukrainian side knows very well what the Polish weapons and arms producers have to offer, because they have been cooperating for years. "They must think what they need for the available funds, and we will definitely talk on the matter," Siemoniak said. He said the issue was one best discussed at intergovernmental meetings, and not on Internet forums and in TV studios.
