Whole security and military sector needs to be reformed - Tymchuk
Fundamental changes in the Ministry of Internal Affairs should initiate comprehensive reforms in all the security and military structures of the state.
That is what coordinator of the military council of the Narodnyi Front (People's Front) Party Dmytro Tymchuk declared, while commenting on the proprosed conception of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reform, the Narodnyi Front's press office reported for Censor.NET.

"We have found out through the example of events in Crimea and Donbas that those who are not willing to feed their own army will feed the foreign one. This approach should be changed. Because from now on it concerns all the armed groups, law enforcement and secret services of the state. We have found out that absolute corruption and disastrous personnel policy in the security services lead to the exceptionally negative consequences for the state and society not only in the time of peace. If police officers desert to the enemy on a massive scale and the army refuses to take arms to defend sovereignty of the state as it happened in spring this year - this means that the system is totally rotten. That's why the cosmetic measures, which, by the way, were used in some departments, can't solve the problem", he assured.
According to Tymchuk, the Donbas events also showed that during the military aggression against the country, all the security and military structures should be supremely used for its rebuff, and they should work in close interaction.
"Before now the process of reforming and development of its structure was implemented by each department separately. It was considered that in case of military immergency regular army will be involved and during the home affairs militia and internal troops (the National Guard). Now Russia employs so called "hybrid" actions against Ukraine when the aggressor's troops act together with the local bandit and terrorist groups. Thus, as its countereffort, Ukraine is making active use of the Army, the National Guard, militia, security services and intelligence support. And we see significant problems in terms of organization of their interaction," the coordinator of the military council of Narodnyi Front Party noticed.
Tymchuk is sure that the security agencies must develop in the cooperation and their reforming should be coordinated.
"All the law enforcement, armed groups, security services, intelligence community have to work together for dealing with complex threats emerging over Ukraine. That is why the current reforming of the Ministry of Internal Affairs must "launch" the pivotal reforming of the whole military and non-military sectors of the state security", he summarized.
