2,500 Soldiers Wounded in the Course of ATO - Ministry of Defense

2,425 Ukrainian servicemen were wounded during the anti-terrorist operation.

This was stated by Director of Military-Medical Department of the Defense Ministry Vitalii Andronatii, Censor.NET reports referring to Ukrainian News.

"They are all distributed to military hospitals, military medical clinical centers, and the worst cases are in highly specialized institutions," Andronatii said.

According to him, about 950 soldiers with light injuries are at the healthcare facilities at the moment and about 30% of the lightly injured have fully recovered and returned to duty.

According to Presidential Adviser Olha Bohomolets, currently 49 people are in need of neuro rehabilitation and prosthetics.

Among the soldiers wounded in the ATO 38 people are currently abroad: 1 in the USA, 19 in Germany, 7 in Israel and 10 in Lithuania.

According to Andronatii, at this point there are no Ukrainian servicemen in Russian medical institutions and vice versa.
