One soldier killed, one injured in five attacks Russian proxies committed in past day, - ATO HQ
Combined Russian and terrorist forces carried out five deliberate attacks in the Donbas over the past 24-hour period resulting in one killed and one wounded Ukrainian soldier.
Censor.NET reports citing the update by the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) headquarters press center as of Feb. 25, 2018.
"In Luhansk direction, the enemy fired seven 82-mm mortar shells upon the Ukrainian troops in the vicinity of Zaitseve village. The invaders employed various types of grenade launchers and small arms against the Ukrainian strong points not far from Krymske and Novoluhanske villages.
"In Donetsk direction, the militants attacked defenders of Vodiane village in the littoral area of the Sea of Azov with 82-mm mortars and small arms. Defenders of Butivka mine were also sprayed with small arms fire.
"The aggressor committed five deliberate attacks on Ukrainian Armed Forces’ positions along the entire contact line over the past day. Unfortunately, one Ukrainian soldier was killed and another one was injured in action. We offer our condolences to the relatives and friends of the serviceman who gave up his life for Ukraine," the situation report reads.
Earlier, the Russian mercenaries fired upon the Ukrainian troops four times on Feb. 24.
