As reported by a correspondent for Censor.NET, the first one brought to the courtroom was a native of Makiivka, now a resident of Dnipro City, Artem Matiushyn, who had been identified as the perpetrator of the assassination.

In the course of the bail hearing, the court granted the prosecutor’s request to place Matiushyn in 60-day pre-trial custody, until Sept. 29, without the right to be bailed out. The suspect will be held in the Zaporizhia-based remand prison.
