Over 2 billion hryvnia ($71.3 million) will be spent on the organization of the presidential elections in Ukraine.

According to CEC Secretary Natalia Berdatska, the commission expects that, when considering the draft state budget for 2019 in the second reading, the lawmakers will take into account comments on the redistribution of funds that were not used for local elections. "We plan to use them for cyber security. We hope we will have time to hold tenders and purchase technical equipment to ensure cyber security," she said.

The registration of potential candidates to the CEC and the election campaign begins from this day, which ends at midnight on the last Friday before the vote.
