Andrii Obrizan becomes CEO at Darnytsia pharmaceutical company

Andrii Obrizan has taken up the reins of Darnytsia PrJSC.

Prior to taking the office at Darnytsia Obrizan led a project within an international company with the headquarters in Zurich (Switzerland) that develops innovative solutions for healthcare, communications and security.
The new Darnytsia chief also used to work in leading Ukrainian and international pharmaceutical companies Arterium Corporation, Biofarma, TEVA/PGT Healthcare, Richter Gedeon. He also has a nine-year experience of work in practical medicine.
Andrii Obrizan sees strengthening Darnytsia’s leading position in the domestic market by establishing partnership with the leading international producers and supplementing the product portfolio with modern, effective and in the same time affordable pharmaceuticals.
"A true professional has joined our team. He has a comprehensive experience not only in the pharm industry but also medicine, management, finances, marketing, innovative product development," said Dmytro Shymkiv, the head of Darnytsia’s Executive Board.
Shymkiv joined Darnytsia’s Executive Board in September 2018. Before that he worked as deputy head at the Presidential Administration of Ukraine and even earlier had headed the Ukrainian branch of the Microsoft Corporation.
Svitlana Didenko, the former Darnytsia CEO, will become a member of company’s supervisory council and concentrate on the strategic development issues.
Darnytsia was founded in 1930. It is a leader of Ukraine’s pharmaceutical market in terms of pharmaceuticals production by volume. The company’s portfolio includes more than 250 names of pharmaceutical products. In 2017, the company's revenue made 2.530 billion hryvnia, which is 19 percent more than in 2016. The company’s net profit in 2017 was 342.111 million hryvnia.
The Zahorii family, including Hlib Zahorii, a lawmaker of the 8th convocation of the Verkhovna Rada, is the ultimate beneficiary of Darnytsia company.
