Ukraine arranging new military goods supplies from US, - Klimkin

Ukraine has started negotiations on new military equipment supplies from the U.S.
Ukraine Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin said this at a press conference, Censor.NET reports citing lb.ua.
"We are in the middle of negotiations. I cannot give you all the information as some of it is classified, but we are talking about significant reinforcement of our army and security system. It is about raising the level of the Ukrainian armed forces to that of NATO countries," Klimkin said commenting on Ukraine’s chances to get new lethal weapons according to the law allowing the Ministry of Defense to purchase military equipment abroad.
Klimkin hailed the adoption of the law authorizing security structures to buy military goods without involving Ukroboronprom (state owned defense industry concern. – Ed.).
"[The law] creates fundamentally new opportunities for military acquisitions," the minister added.
