Ukraine Government ready to extend contract with Naftohaz CEO Koboliev

The contract will be terminated if the Naftohaz senior management fails to meet the conditions put forward by the Government
The Government of Ukraine will extend the contract with Andriy Koboliev, the Chairman of the Executive Board of NJSC Naftohaz of Ukraine, for another year, as reported by Censor.NET.
"We make a decision to extend the contract with the company's executive board for another year with monthly and quarterly reporting," Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Hroisman said at the Cabinet’s meeting.
According to him, the competition for the position of the chairman of the executive board of Naftohaz and the members will be announced in a year.
The contract will be terminated if the Naftohaz senior management fails to meet the conditions put forward by the Government, the Head of Government stressed.
As Hroisman noted, the top management of NJSC Naftohaz of Ukraine should be skilled professionals and know how to increase gas production, lower gas prices and fulfill other tasks. At the same time, the salary of senior executives should be adequate, not sky-high, the Prime Minister emphasized.
As reported, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine earlier decided to announce an open competition for the position of the Chairman of the Executive Board of NJSC Naftohaz of Ukraine on March 23.
At the same time, the supervisory board of the company recommended that the Cabinet should re-appoint Koboliev as the chairman of the company's executive board for at least a year, until 2020. It also proposed to reduce the wage by 50% of the monthly salary provided for in the current contract.
