The official gets the office due to the presidential decree signed May 22.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyi appointed Andrii Herus his envoy in the Ukrainian government. The respective decree appeared on May 22.

Herus is a former member of the National Committee for the Regulation of Energy Policy and Public Utilities. Prior to that, he served as the investment activity director of Concorde Capital company.

The presidential envoy in the government represents the head of the state in the Cabinet, acts as a communication line between the authorities. He is appointed and relieved from duty by the President. He joins the government sessions, enjoying the right of conciliatory vote. He can also participate in the development of any draft laws submitted by the President.
