Savchenko Goes on Hunger Strike - Lawyer

Ukrainian pilot and Verkhovna Rada deputy from Batkivshchyna party Nadia Savchenko, who was illegally arrested and is being kept imprisoned in Russia, hunger-strikes because of health deterioration.

Nadia Savchenko's lawyer Mark Feigin wrote on Twitter, Censor.NET informs.

Earlier, Savchenko's lawyers declared significant deterioration of her health. In particular, Savchenko is losing her hearing because of chilled ear. Hence, she asked for medical assistance for the first time ever.

Savchenko's defense appealed to the Investigative Committee to suspend the criminal proceedings against the pilot because of her status of prisoner of war on Dec. 12.
