Australia to Allocate $100 Million of Aid to Ukraine - Chalyi
President of Ukraine Poroshenko agreed financial aid to Ukraine during his state visit to Australia.
Presidential Administration Deputy Head Valerii Chalyi stated, Censor.NET reports citing Interfax-Ukraine.
"There are certain economic results. Many of them will show themselves later, but currently we may speak of $100 million from Australia through the IMF to support Ukraine, and more than $2 million for funding of the National Guard and the Army current needs specifically," he said at a briefing in Kyiv on Monday.
In addition, according to Chalyi, Australia is ready to help Ukraine in the issue of energy security.
"We held negotiations in Australia on the supply of uranium. It is known that Australia has suspended supplying uranium to Russia as a restrictive measure and today we are talking about raw materials' supply sources diversifying in Ukraine," he said.
