Situation in Donbas remains tense. Mortars fired against Artemove - ATO press center
On April 29, the situation in the anti-terrorist operation area in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions remained troubled.

The summary reads: "From midnight to 6 p.m. illegal armed groups carried out 24 fire attacks on the positions of the Ukrainian troops, mainly using mortars and small arms. In the Donetsk region the criminals opened fire from 120-mm mortar shells at our positions near the village of Pisky five times and once each near Shyrokyne, Opytne and Avdiivka.
"The gangs also fired at Artemove town from 120-mm mortars, damaging 11 residential buildings. In the Luhansk region, the enemy opened fire from automatic grenade launchers, sniper rifles, and anti-tank hand grenade launchers against the ATO positions in the area of Triokhizbenka and Sokilnyky.
"Ukrainian units recorded three enemy drone flights (two of which have been destroyed) in the sky near Stanytsia Luhanska and Proizhdzhe of the Luhansk regions and Ledynske of the Donetsk region," the statement concluded.
