Turkish company Baykar has tested a new combat drone Bayraktar Kzlelma, which has engines of Ukrainian production.

As informs Censor.NЕТ, it was reported by Ukrinform referring to Anadolu.

The first tests were announced by the technical director and co-owner of the company Selçuk Bayraktar, who released a video of the new UAV. In the video, Kızılelma makes its first flight on the runway.

The company says it has made another important step in the development of Bayraktar Kızılelma, which will become Turkey's first unmanned military aircraft.

Bayraktar Kızılelma is being developed as a supersonic drone with a turbojet engine that can carry 1,500 kg of payload (weapons, devices, etc.). Its declared maximum speed is 900 km/h, the flight range is 930 km, and the operating altitude is more than 10 km. It can work in the air for five hours.

Earlier this week, the drone was successfully tested with safety ropes, and today, November 20, it was tested without ropes.
