Ukrainian troops liberate 12 settlements in Luhansk region, - Cherevaty

Ukrainian servicemen liberated 12 settlements from Russian occupants in Luhansk region. Also in this area, an initiative on frontline is largely on Ukrainian Armed Forces’ side.
As informs Censor.NЕТ, it was reported by RBK-Ukraine referring to the words of the Eastern Group of AFU troops spokesman Serhiy Cherevaty on the air of the telethon "United News".
He noted that after the failure of strategic plans in the war against Ukraine with an attempt to take Kyiv and defeats in several key areas - in particular, in Kharkiv, Lyman and Kherson - Russia wants to win at least somewhere, at the tactical level. In particular, to try again to reach the administrative border of Luhansk region.
"Since throughout the war and even earlier one of the narratives of Russian propaganda was "liberation of Donbas people", unknown to anyone before, it is clear that they want to reach the administrative borders of Luhansk and Donetsk regions. And, therefore, if they reached these borders, they would continue their efforts to seize the entire Zaporizhzhia region," Cherevaty said.
The press officer also drew attention to the fact that the occupants, having large forces on the eastern front, in Donbas, have not been able to break through the defense even in the area of Bakhmut and Avdiivka for more than 4 months.
"Of course, this requires concentration of our efforts. Moreover, the enemy is already suffering defeat in Luhansk region. There are already 12 settlements under the Ukrainian flag. And in many ways, the initiative is ours," the speaker said.
