Germany will transfer 7 Gepard to Ukraine in spring - Spiegel
The German government will hand over the promised seven Gepard self-propelled air defense systems to Ukraine in spring 2023 - these will be the last samples of the system from the warehouses of the German industry.
This is reported by Spiegel, іnforms Censor.NЕТ with reference to Liga.NET.
According to the newspaper, seven Gepard, which were intended for disposal, are currently being repaired by the Munich-based Krauss-Maffei Wegmann (KMW), and in the spring they should be delivered to Ukraine.
The Federal Government of Olaf Scholz hopes that after that it will be possible to supply Ukraine with additional ammunition for air defense systems.
With the new delivery of Gepard, Germany wants to help Ukraine protect cities and critical infrastructure from Russian missile attacks.
