About 30% of Ukraine’s territory needs demining - Interior Ministry
Law enforcers have already provided stabilization measures in 568 liberated settlements of Ukraine, and about 30% of its territory needs demining.
As informs Censor.NЕТ, this was reported by press service of Ukrainian Ministry of Internal Affairs.
"Currently, the police have provided stabilization measures in 568 liberated settlements. Units of the State Emergency Service inspected and cleared 76 hectares of territories, seized more than 300 thousand explosive remnants of war. About 30% of the country's territory still needs demining," - the statement reads.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs reminded that the police and the State Emergency Service are the first to enter the de-occupied territories after the military. In extremely difficult conditions, they carry out stabilization measures - demine the territories, carry out "cleansing", record war crimes and work with the local population.
"War is a continuous violation of human rights. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Ukrainians have faced total violence: murder, torture, sexual crimes, captivity, deportation, filtration, destruction of civilian and critical infrastructure," the Ministry added.
