Ukraine terminated four intergovernmental agreements with Belarus

Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has terminated four intergovernmental agreements with Belarus, in particular on weapons and military equipment supplies, as well as joint research and development work in this area.

As informs Censor.NЕТ, it was announced in Telegram by Permanent Representative of the Government in the Verkhovna Rada Taras Melnychuk.

In particular, according to Melnychuk, the Agreement between the Governments of Ukraine and Belarus in 1995 on mutual supplies of arms, military equipment, other material means and services for defense and security needs, signed on December 16, 1994, and the Agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Government of the Republic of Belarus on additional confidence and security measures, signed on April 16, 2001, have been terminated.

In addition, the intergovernmental agreements with Belarus on joint research and development work in the field of armaments and military equipment and on mutual protection of rights to the results of intellectual activity created and provided in the course of bilateral military-technical cooperation (both signed on October 18, 2005) were also terminated.
