Australian volunteer O’Donnell died defending Ukraine
Sage O’Donnell, a 24-year-old volunteer from Australia, gave his life defending Ukraine.
This was announced by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Australia, informs Censor.NET with reference to Radio Liberty.
The agency quotes the mother of 24-year-old O'Donnell as saying that he "died in battle defending the freedom of the people of Ukraine."
"Sage passionately defended his values and served here, in his own country, and most recently in Ukraine," she said in her comment.
The department spokesman said that the department provides consular support to the deceased's family.
According to SBS News, O'Donnell previously served in the Australian Army.
