Canada to provide Ukraine with four Leopard-2 tanks

Canadian Defense Minister Anita Anand announces supply of four Leopard-2 tanks to Ukraine.

It was informed by Censor.NЕТ with a reference to Interfax-Ukraine.

Canada will provide spare parts and ammunition, as well as train the Ukrainian military in the use of tanks. Anand also does not rule out additional supplies of Leopard-2 tanks to Ukraine.

In total, Canada has 112 tanks of this model in service.

As a reminder, the German authorities decided the day before to transfer the first batch of 14 Leopard-2 tanks to Ukraine. Berlin will also authorize its allies to supply Leopard tanks to Ukraine. In addition, U.S. President Joe Biden has announced a decision to send 31 M1 Abrams tanks to Ukraine.
