Russia again fired a missile with a simulator of a nuclear warhead over Ukraine. She was shot down near Kyiv.

This is reported by Censor.NET with reference to Defense Express.

During yesterday's attack, the occupiers again used X-55 missiles with a nuclear simulator, the so-called "special" combat unit. According to the publication, the missile was shot down on the approach to Kyiv from the south-eastern direction. Its wreckage was found in the Boryspil region.

This is at least the fourth case recorded in Ukraine. For the first time, the Kh-55 with the simulator was recorded on November 17. These missiles were also destroyed in the Khmelnytsky and Lviv regions.

The Ministry of Defense confirmed Russia's use of Kh-55 missiles with a simulator. The military explained that Russia is thus trying to distract the air defense forces.

The publication also notes that the Russian Federation has begun to camouflage its Kh-101 missiles. On the body, the Russians erase the serial numbers with a Bulgarian so that it is impossible to identify the date of manufacture, serial number, or other data.

This information made it possible to estimate the pace of missile use. However, specialists will still be able to identify the wreckage of missiles, because all internal components and units also have their serial numbers, and it is quite difficult to destroy them without completely overhauling the missile in factory conditions.

The Russian occupiers are using Kh-55 missiles with a simulator of a nuclear warhead against Ukraine to wear out our means of air defense, said the spokesman of the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Yurii Ihnat on the air of the telethon.

According to him, the Kh-55 is a missile with a nuclear warhead. Yes, the Russians either remove or do not install the nuclear part. An imitator is placed in its place so that the weight matches, but it does not affect the aerodynamic qualities of the rocket.

"What is it used for? To disperse our air defense, it can also be used as a false target.
Let's assume that the missiles fly in a bunch - 5 pieces - of them there can be two Kh-55 and three Kh-101 (air-to-ground cruise missiles) flying along the route. In order to exhaust, disperse, so that we spend missiles on them," Ihnat said.
