Situation at Russian-occupied Zaporizhzhia NPP is getting worse, - Halushchenko

The dumping of water by Russian terrorists in the Kakhovka Reservoir poses a threat to the operation of the ZNPP.
Energy Minister Herman Halushchenko announced this during the telethon, Censor.NET informs with reference to Ukrinform.
"This situation is really quite dangerous if it continues to develop in this direction. Before that, we informed the IAEA, and there is also a corresponding statement by the IAEA regarding this situation. Now there is information that the level has stabilized a little, but the question is that we do not have access and the ability to regulate the draining of this water. To what extent are they consciously doing it, are they ready to take such actions to endanger the operation of the ZNPP in general, you know, you can expect anything from them," the minister noted.
Also, the current actions of the Russians jeopardize the possibility of quickly connecting the station to the network after its liberation by Ukraine. In addition, the occupiers did not get the desired number of people signing contracts with them, and the pressure on the staff is increasing accordingly.
"In general, the operation of the station is currently carried out in such a way that it deteriorates the equipment itself. This significantly worsens the possibility of connecting it to the network in the future," Halushchenko said.
