Finland has not yet decided to send Leopard tanks to Ukraine

Finnish Prime Minister Sanna Marin said that the decision to send German Leopard tanks to Ukraine, to which Berlin has already agreed, has not yet been made.

She said this in an interview with journalists on Sunday, reports Censor.NЕТ with reference to "European truth".

Marin said that the situation in Finland is "a little different" from other countries because it borders Russia, and noted that no decision has been made to send Leopard tanks to Ukraine.

"We do not inform the public about such things in advance, but when the decision is made, we tell them what they need to know. Different countries had different lines of communication. We have been restrained, we do not list individual issues that are publicly available. Finland has provided Ukraine with a lot of materials, and we are ready to continue to do so," she said.

Marin also supported Estonian Prime Minister Kai Kallas' proposal that EU countries should jointly buy weapons for Ukraine, thus strengthening the European defense industry.

"I personally support this idea. I want us to accelerate the production of defense equipment in Europe. Because we don't know when the war will end. And also because the world has changed, and we must be able to strengthen our own defense," she said.
