Hungarian Foreign Minister Szijarto arrived in Minsk: He will talk about peace in Ukraine
The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Hungary, Peter Szijarto, arrived in Minsk for a visit.
He announced this on Facebook, Censor.NET reports.
According to him, Hungary expects all members of the international community to act for peace as soon as possible and "avoid actions that could lead to the continuation or escalation of the war."
"The war in Ukraine is intensifying, more and more people are dying because of the hostilities. It is necessary to save human lives now, and this can only be done with peace," Sijarto said.
"This is a peaceful position that I will take at the negotiations in Minsk today. Obviously, many will attack the visit, but our position is clear: the channels of communication must be open. If we had not acted in this way, I would not have been able to convey the message of the call for peace," the minister added.
