AFU repelled 81 attacks by occupiers in five directions, - General Staff
Last day, the Defense Forces repelled 71 enemy attacks in the Kupiansk, Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Shakhtarsk directions.

The Russian Federation continues to wage full-scale armed aggression against Ukraine. The main efforts are focused on conducting offensive operations in the Kupiansk, Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Shakhtarsk directions. Last day, our defenders repelled 81 attacks by the occupiers in these areas.
The enemy is trying to destroy the critical infrastructure of our state, continues to strike, carry out artillery shelling of civilian objects and houses of the civilian population. The enemy constantly conducts aerial reconnaissance to adjust its strikes.
Over the past day, the Russians launched 5 missiles and 13 air strikes, 2 of which were carried out by Shahed-136 UAVs against civilian infrastructure. Both drones were shot down. Also, the enemy launched more than 50 attacks from rocket salvo systems, in particular, on civilian infrastructure in the Kherson region and Donetsk region. There are dead and wounded civilians, destroyed civilian houses, and damaged civilian infrastructure. The level of the threat of Russian missile strikes remains high throughout the territory of Ukraine.
The operational situation has not changed significantly in the Volyn, Polissia, Siversk, and Slobozhansk directions. The enemy continues to maintain a military presence near the state border of Ukraine, but no signs of the formation of offensive groups have been detected. The enemy carried out mortar and artillery shelling of the areas of Khrynivka and Katerynivka settlements of the Chernihiv region; Hirky, Atynske, Stukalivka, Hyrine, Pavlivka, Volfyne of the Sumy Region, as well as Veterynarne, Cherovna Zoria, Strilecha, Starytsia, Vovchanski Khutory, Cherniak, Loshakovo, Krasne Pershe, Stroivka, Novomlynsk, Dvorichna, Zapadne, and Kupiansk of the Kharkiv Region. In the vicinity of Popivka of the Sumy region and Krasnaya Zoria, the enemy used an unmanned aerial vehicle with a combat load.
In the Kupiansk and Lyman directions, the enemy carried out unsuccessful offensive actions in the areas of Novoselyvske, Ploschanka, Bilohorivka, Spirne, and Berestovo. Enemy artillery shelling was recorded in more than 25 settlements. Among them are Lyman Pershy and Kurylivka in the Kharkiv region and Novoselivske, Chervonopivka, Dibrova, Serebriansk Forestry, Bilohorivka, Spirne, Rozdolivka, and Fedorivka in the Luhansk region.
In the Bakhmut direction, the enemy continues to attack the positions of our troops and carried out unsuccessful offensive actions near the settlements of Dubovo-Vasylivka, Yagidne, Bakhmut, Ivanovske, and Pivnichne of the Donetsk region. Areas of more than 25 settlements, including Dubovo-Vasylivka, Bakhmut, Ivanivske, Klishchiivka, Kurdiumivka, Bila Hora, Ozarianivka, Stupochky, Zalizne, and Pivdene of Donetsk region, were shelled.
In the Avdiivka and Shakhtarsk directions, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensives in the areas of Kamianka, Avdiivka, Vodiane, Nevelske, Krasnohorivka, Mariinka, and Vuhledar settlements. He carried out artillery shelling in areas of populated areas, in particular, Novobakhmutivka, Avdiivka, Lastochkyne, Pervomaiske, Nevelsky, Krasnohorivka, Mariinka, Novomykhailivka, Vuhledar, and Vremivka, Donetsk region.
In the Zaporizhzhia direction, more than 30 settlements were affected by the fire. Among them are Vremivka and Novopil of the Donetsk region; Olhivske, Malynivka, Chervone, Charivne, Bilohiria, Novodanilivka, Orikhiv and Novoandriivka of the Zaporizhzhia region.
In the Kherson direction, Mykhailivka, Kachkarivka, Lvove, Antonivka, Kherson, Komyshany, Blahovishchenske, Bilozerka, Dniprovske and Berehove of the Kherson region were affected by the artillery fire of the Russian occupation forces. And in general, the districts of 27 settlements.
The enemy continues to suffer significant losses. Thus, in the Bakhmutivka district of the Donetsk region, between February 22 and 24, up to 30 bodies of dead and 65 wounded servicemen of the Russian occupation forces were delivered to medical institutions.
Against the background of the military successes of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, there is mass desertion in enemy troops. With this in mind, Russian deputy commanders for political work are actively conducting outreach work to prevent desertion among Russian servicemen. They are trying to prove the articles of the criminal code regarding punishment to the occupiers.
In particular, all aggressors are frightened by the fact that Russian servicemen who have been in the status of those who voluntarily left the military unit since 2017 have been sentenced to 4 to 12 years in prison.
Due to fears of the de-occupation of Ukrainian territories, in the settlements of Oleshky and Skadovsk of the Kherson region, the Russian occupying so-called "authority" is preparing to flee to the territory of the temporarily occupied Autonomous Republic of Crimea. In particular, since February 21, the departure of local collaborators to Bakhchisaray, Simferopol, and Kerch has been noted, and since February 24, the occupiers have announced the so-called "evacuation" of all those willing.
The enemy used military trucks to transport the collaborators, only hand luggage was allowed.
Over the past day, the aviation of the Defense Forces of Ukraine carried out 4 strikes on the areas of concentration of personnel and military equipment of the occupiers. At the same time, our defenders destroyed a Russian attack aircraft SU-25.
Missile and artillery units struck an ammunition depot and an enemy satellite jamming station during the past day.
