IAEA announced Grossi’s visit to Zaporizhzhia NPP

The Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Raphael Grossi will visit the temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhya NPP next week.
As Censor.NET informs, this was reported by the IAEA press service.
The agency notes that during his trip, Grossi wants to assess the serious situation with nuclear safety at the facility and emphasize the urgent need for its protection during a war in the country.
This will be Grossi's second visit to the territory of Zaporizhzhia NPP.
"I decided to go to the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant again to see for myself how the situation has developed since September and to talk to those who operate the facility in these unprecedented and very difficult circumstances. I am, as before, determined to continue doing everything, that is in my power to help reduce the risk of a nuclear accident during the tragic war in Ukraine," said the Director General of the IAEA.
According to him, despite the presence of IAEA experts at the station for seven months, the situation there continues to remain extremely unstable. The threats to nuclear safety are very obvious.
Grossi added that his trip to Ukraine is also aimed at ensuring support and improvement of the regular rotation of IAEA experts. He will be accompanied by a new group of experts.
