Russia may use new Iranian Miraj-532 drones against Ukraine, - OС "South"
The spokeswoman of the United Coordination Press Center of the Defense Forces of Southern Ukraine, Nataliya Gumenyuk, does not rule out that over time, the new Iranian kamikaze drone Miraj-532 may be delivered to Russia, which will use it to attack Ukrainian territory.
She expressed this opinion on the air of the national telethon "Yedini Novyni", Censor.NET informs with reference to Ukrinform.
"It is quite likely that they may be in Ukraine. We understand that against the background of a certain shortage of missiles, a critical number of them, the enemy, pushed to such a limit, may look for new means of destruction, including negotiating with partners about such supplies. So far, we have not recorded nothing like that," Humeniuk said.
According to her, if any unit of active action is being developed that can be used by the enemy, Ukrainian defenders are looking for countermeasures. Specialists are already studying the declared characteristics of this drone.
"I am sure that our air defense system will be able to protect and work properly," she said.
The spokeswoman confirmed the information that the quality of the drones that Russia has recently been using in Ukraine has decreased.
"Yes, we are observing such a phenomenon. Indeed, it is quite likely that the same sanctions have an effect, which should nevertheless work and be reflected in the combat situation as well. However, the enemy cannot be underestimated. The cameras are there, the drones are active. Gathering information in in such a case, it means that the enemy is looking for new methods of damage at a distance. They are gathering information about which damage will be the most effective," Humeniuk said.
According to her, the activation of unmanned aerial vehicles is observed along the front line, along the coast. This suggests that some attacks may be prepared, she added.
