Russians turned part of Bakhmut into "Aleppo" - Maliar
The enemy has turned part of the city’s districts into Aleppo. The Russians are using the tactic of complete destruction.
Deputy Defense Minister Hanna Maliar said this during a telethon, reports Censor.NЕТ with reference to "Radio Svobodа".
"The enemy is concentrating not only its regular troops there, but also the private army of Wagner, which has been largely destroyed by the Ukrainian armed forces. The enemy does not abandon its goal of taking Bakhmut. Today, fierce fighting is taking place there. The enemy is heavily using artillery and aviation there. The enemy has turned some parts of the city into Aleppo. They are using tactics of complete destruction, destroying buildings and positions," she said.
Maliar emphasized that if it were not for the city's defense, the Russians would have advanced deeper into Ukraine.
Aleppo is a city in Syria that is at the epicenter of the civil war and has suffered enormous destruction.
