We do not see Chinese weapons on our frontline now, - Danilov
National Security and Defense Council Secretary Oleksiy Danilov commented on The Washington Post’s article that secret documents published online allegedly contain information that China has agreed to provide lethal assistance to Russia.
As informs Censor.NЕТ, Danilov said this in an interview with a journalist of TSN Oleksandr Tsaplienko, reports Ukrinform.
"If it were to appear here, you remember when Iranian attack drones appeared, we immediately made a statement about it. We disassembled them, as they say, bone by bone, and even the data of those countries whose components were used there. We will address them officially, asking why this happened and why it must be stopped. We do not see any Chinese weapons on our front," the NSDC Secretary said.
Danilov assured that if the Russian occupiers do get hold of Chinese weapons, Ukraine will immediately inform our society and the world.
"But based on China's global issues, we don't see why it should supply weapons to Russia now. China's position is neutral - they support neither side. For the first time, Chinese diplomacy has come out in the public space with a proposal of 12 issues to end the war, but they call it something else. And this is the first question why we cannot finally accept it. There are things that we can accept when it comes to territorial integrity, the UN. This, of course, is useful for us. But there are points that are quite questionable. So we are studying, working, observing. Soon we will have a lot of information on this particular issue," summarized the NSDC Secretary.
