Situation at ZNPP is getting worse, - Halushchenko

The situation regarding the technical operation of the Zaporizhzha nuclear power plant, which is temporarily under the control of the occupiers, is deteriorating.
This was stated by Energy Minister Herman Halushchenko, Censor.NET reports with reference to UNIAN.
"This is not just my assessment or our vision. Rafael Grossi (Director General of the IAEA. - Ed.) and I said, and his experts see the same, that the situation is getting worse. First of all, from the point of view of the technical operation of the station," he said.
Halushchenko reminded that the staff of the station has been under constant pressure and terror from the occupiers for the second year.
"Psychologically, it is very difficult, especially for people who are responsible for nuclear operational safety at the site. They make decisions on which safety depends. Therefore, the situation is difficult," added the Minister of Energy.
According to Galushchenko, the occupiers should leave the station, because the situation when the largest nuclear power plant in Europe is managed by "people not licensed by Ukraine" is a challenge to the world from the point of view of nuclear and radiation safety.
