Kyiv will not flood, water is receding, - Ukrhydrometeorological center

This was announced at the briefing by the head of the hydrological forecasting department of the Ukrhydrometeorological center Ilya Perevozchikov and the press officer of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine Oleksandr Khorunzhiy, Censor.NET informs with reference to Ukrainian Pravda.

At the same time, in Kyiv, the outflow of water to the "floodplains" and riverside areas is recorded, in particular, there is flooding of Muromets and Trukhaniv islands, as well as some places in the Vyshhorod, Brovary, and Boryspil districts of the region.

Carriers noted that as of this morning, a "yellow" level of danger has been declared in the Volyn and Rivne regions. The "orange" danger level has been announced in Kyiv and Chernihiv regions, and the "red" level in Cherkasy, Poltava, Dnipropetrovsk, and Kirovohrad regions. A "red" level of danger has also been declared in the sections of the Dnipro in the areas bordering Belarus with Chernihiv region.

In addition, according to him, the State Emergency Service has data that the peak of water harvesting will be from April 18 to 28.
