The White House disapproved of the initiatives announced by French President Emmanuel Macron regarding peace talks between Ukraine and the Russian Federation, which were made without consulting the allies.

As reported by Censor.NET with reference to ZN.UA, Bloomberg writes about this, referring to the words of persons familiar with the politics of the administration of the American president.

In addition, Washington did not like that during a visit to Beijing, Macron called on Europe to avoid getting involved in the conflict between the United States and China over Taiwan.

Last week, Joe Biden and Emmanuel Macron spoke on the phone, and the tone of the releases after the talks were considered "icy" by the agency's journalists.

"When it comes to the war in Ukraine, people familiar with the thinking of the Biden administration said the White House was irritated by what they believe Macron is freelancing on a sensitive diplomatic issue without consulting allies," the report said.

These people, who spoke on condition of anonymity, also said it was not the first time Macron had proposed a peace plan and then had to back down. In their opinion, it is obvious that the Chinese do not want to use their influence on Putin, so it is unlikely that Macron will be able to do anything better this time.
