Ukraine increased expenditures on defense by nine times in 2022, - Shmyhal
In 2022, Ukraine increased defense spending nine times compared to 2021.
This was stated by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, informs Censor.NЕТ.
"Despite unprecedented challenges, we managed to fully finance all key budget expenditures. In 2022, we increased spending on defense of our country nine times compared to 2021. Security spending increased by 2.5 times. We increased spending on social protection by 25%. Healthcare - by 8%," the Prime Minister said.
According to the Prime Minister, the country's leadership has managed to keep Ukraine's economy "afloat".
"We have managed to prevent the hryvnia from devaluing and inflation from galloping. Our economy has stayed afloat. Now it is important that we see its recovery this year," emphasized Shmyhal.
