Six African countries agreed to open embassies of Ukraine.
This was stated by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba, informs Censor.NЕТ referring to LIGA.
"We have already received consent from six African countries to open an embassy. This is the first step that starts everything. We are actively looking for and are already at an advanced stage of identifying future ambassadors in these countries," Kuleba said.
The Foreign Minister did not specify which African countries he was talking about.
The Minister added that, for the first time in history, Ukraine's diplomatic mission is organizing trainings and seminars for African diplomats who are in charge of European and Ukrainian issues in their foreign ministries.
"In this way, we saturate them with our vision and help them better understand what is happening and, accordingly, take a more favorable position," Kuleba said.
The Foreign Minister explained that in terms of relations with African countries, Ukraine is moving from two directions: increasing its presence in Africa and significantly strengthening the mechanisms for engaging African diplomats in Ukrainian issues.
