Zelensky on counteroffensive: We do not think that we may not be successful
Ukraine is actively preparing for a counteroffensive and has no options for failure. At the same time, it is wrong to talk about "success" if you lose people.
resident Volodymyr Zelensky said this at a joint press conference with the prime ministers of the Netherlands and Belgium, Censor.NET reports with reference to Ukrainian Pravda.
He assured that the entire Ukrainian society is thinking about a counteroffensive and how to strengthen the army.
"We are thinking about how to prepare for a counterattack and we don't think that we might not be successful. This is not our way. We have a single goal and we understand it.
I can't say 100% guaranteed success, because no one knows. I think it's wrong to talk about success if you lose people...
In any case, we will move forward and expect something from our partners," Zelensky said.
The President emphasized that, liberating territories, Ukraine loses people and these losses are very painful for the country.
He added that it is very difficult for him to leave the country during the war and visit Ukraine's international partners.
Zelensky said that he does not want to demotivate the society and soldiers of Ukraine by this: "I am leaving the country for a very short time because it is necessary, not because I just want to."
